How to Make a Pattern from a Garment

Do you have a garment that you love? This class will teach you how to make a pattern or “knockoff” without having to take the original garment apart. Once you have made the pattern, you can make the garment in different colors and fabrics.

The class will run for 4 consecutive weeks and will last for 3 hours each class. The class cost is $275.00 and is payable online (planosewing.com). The class will fill up quickly so reserve your spot. Before the first class, a supply list will be sent via email along with an Amazon link. It is required to have the supplies for the first class.

Alphanumeric pattern paper
Pins
Tape measure
2” Plastic ruler with grid (2”x18”)
Dritz Styling Design Ruler
Pencil and eraser
Paper scissors
Tape
Awl or stiletto
Water Soluble Fabric marker
Garment to copy (start with something simple; the more
pieces/seams, the more difficult it will be)
Pattern weights (optional)

Adult Class Policy
Please check your calendar before signing up for class and read the class policy carefully.
– Must be at least 15 years old.
– Full payment due at time of registration.

No refunds or transfers will be given 72 hours prior to or after the start of class, your fee is 100% forfeited.
All cancellations are subject to a 10% cancellation fee if you paid for the class online by PayPal or Credit Card. The fee will be deducted to cover service fees charged by PayPal and the credit card processing company. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to the high number of last-minute cancellations, you must cancel at least 7 days prior to class beginning, for a full refund. – If you cancel 4-6 days prior to class, you will receive a 50% refund.
