Are you thinking about adding a Baby Lock serger to your sewing room—or do you already own one and want to feel more confident using all of its features? Join Baby Lock Educator Sally-Ann Flak of Stitch Me Studio for a full day of hands-on Serger Education at Plano Sewing Center!
This class is designed for both current Baby Lock serger owners and sewists who are considering purchasing a 4-thread or 8-thread Baby Lock serger and would like to experience what these amazing machines can do.
Throughout the day, we’ll explore the fundamentals of serging while also introducing you to the creative possibilities beyond simply finishing a seam. You’ll learn about threading, tension, stitch selection, differential feed, stitch width and length, cutting width, and proper machine setup while creating samples you can take home for future reference.
We’ll work with a variety of useful and decorative serger techniques, including:
• 4-thread and 3-thread overlock
• Rolled hems
• Flatlock stitching
• Gathering and differential feed
• Decorative threads and creative serging
• Seam finishing and garment construction techniques
• Tips for achieving professional-looking results

Drawing on more than four decades of expertise in quilting, garment creation, fit, and patternmaking, she has built a career centered on teaching and inspiring sewists. Throughout her work, she has led hands-on classes and special events, helping students build confidence, explore their creativity, and experience the joy of sewing on Baby Lock’s exceptional machines.
